In our latest collaboration with GetirFinans and Tooplay, we transformed fintech messaging into a fully gamified playable ad—complete with a virtual basket, flying advantages, and serious engagement.
Spoiler: it worked.
The Challenge
GetirFinans was looking for a way to communicate financial benefits in a way that feels effortless and fun.
Rather than just listing product features, the goal was to create an experience something that not only explained but excited.
Traditional ad formats weren’t cutting it.
So, we played a different game.
The Solution
We built an interactive catcher-style game:
Users moved a virtual basket to “catch” financial advantages—bonuses, campaigns, and perks flying across the screen.
Each item they caught gave them a quick peek into what GetirFinans offers—no boring text, no hard sell. Just gameplay.
The Experience
The playable ad designed for GetirFinans offered users a smooth, intuitive experience that mirrored the simplicity of mobile gaming. Using swipe gestures, players moved a virtual basket left and right to catch floating financial perks turning a simple motion into a moment of brand discovery. These perks weren’t generic icons; they were visual representations of actual GetirFinans offerings such as interest-free installment options, and other valuable user benefits. Each item caught by the user was reinforced with immediate visual and point-based feedback, clearly showing the value of the interaction. This fast-paced format transformed financial content into a short, rewarding game. The experience was designed to be quick and accessible, but also informative and memorable. In under 15 seconds, users learned about GetirFinans’s core value propositions by playing through them, no need for lengthy explanations or heavy copy. The interactive nature of the playable ad helped users engage with the fintech brand on a much deeper level than traditional static or video formats typically allow.
The Results
This campaign generated clear and measurable results that highlight the effectiveness of gamified, interactive advertising in the fintech space. The playable ad achieved a click-through rate (CTR) of 11%, significantly outperforming standard display and video formats, which typically yield much lower interaction. In total, the campaign delivered over 1,000,000 impressions, successfully reaching a broad, mobile-first audience across multiple platforms. Most importantly, the engagement rate reached 12%, indicating that users were not only intrigued by the ad but chose to interact with it meaningfully, often completing the entire experience. These metrics prove that interactive ads, particularly those that involve gameplay mechanics, are capable of driving both attention and conversion in a highly competitive digital environment. Every swipe and tap during the game became a micro-conversion point, bridging the gap between awareness and action. In this case, the ad did more than entertain. It educated, engaged, and persuaded users to consider GetirFinans as a real solution.
Why It Worked
The success of the GetirFinans playable ad can be attributed to several core factors that make interactive advertising particularly effective for fintech brands. First, gamification played a key role in helping users intuitively understand complex financial products. By turning product features into in-game rewards, the ad simplified financial concepts without dumbing them down. Second, the emotional engagement created by the game format boosted both memorability and brand perception. When users have fun interacting with a brand, they are more likely to remember it and develop a positive association. Finally, interactivity itself created intent. Every movement whether a swipe, a tap, or a completion, signaled interest and engagement. These user actions aren’t just passive views; they are indicators of behavioral intent. This is what makes playable ads so effective: they actively involve users in the brand story, generating deeper impact than traditional ad formats.
Final Thoughts
The GetirFinans campaign demonstrated that fintech advertising doesn’t have to be serious, static, or text-heavy to succeed. On the contrary, it proved that turning a financial product into a game can dramatically increase both engagement and understanding. In this case, we didn’t just build an ad. We built a short-form brand experience powered by interactive design, gamification mechanics, and clear conversion goals. Playable ads are no longer just a trend in mobile gaming and they are becoming a strategic advantage for fintech companies that want to educate and acquire users more effectively. As consumers demand faster, more engaging brand interactions, interactive ads offer a powerful way to turn attention into action. For fintech marketers looking to simplify their messaging and boost performance, the takeaway is clear: skip the explainer video, build a playable ad instead.
